Lys Thibault

Project Manager & LEED Ambassador

I had always been searching for a way to blend my two greatest passions together, those being art and nature. As I write those words down, it almost seems silly that I would have any trouble marrying the two, but for many years I struggled endlessly to find a way to create and design without harming the environment.

Travels, time, and insights I gathered through observation and devotion to my own health and happiness eventually led me to my first huge breakthrough in blending my two passions; that being sustainable design and LEED or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. I hurriedly studied to receive my LEED Green Associate accreditation, eager to learn as much as I could about this emerging branch of design. As I continued down this path, I broadened my scope and theory to include natural building, passive design, and a more wholistic picture of the integration of architecture and interior design with human beings and the earth. These studies led me to Permaculture and later on, to receive my Certificate in Permaculture Design.

With new wisdom under my belt and a building hope for the future of regenerative design, I knew I was getting closer to my dreams. Alongside a little bit of personal soul searching and some gumption in my gut, I found myself being divinely led to Intimate Living Interiors. Kari’s inherent design philosophy and affinity for natural materials physically manifested my aspirations to wed my love for the environment and design within a career.

Here at Intimate Living Interiors I am able to express my creativity alongside my deep love for nature through collaboration with architects and contractors, selection of natural and healthy finishes, and procurement of high quality, vintage, and wholesome home furnishings. Every day I am given the opportunity to contribute to achieving our team’s collective dream to infuse wellness and timeless design into all of our projects. I am so grateful to have found my home here at ILI and to be a part of such a talented and well-rounded team where I can combine my passions of design and the well-being of people and our planet.
